Description

Registration deadline: 7/29/26

This webinar is free, but registration required.

Ohio's public libraries play an important role in the state's election process. Under Ohio Revised Code Section 3503.10, public libraries are designated as voter registration locations, a responsibility that includes complying with state and federal voter registration requirements.

To help libraries prepare for the upcoming election cycle, the OLC will host a webinar with Alande Orelien from the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office on July 30. The session will review voter registration requirements for public libraries, discuss responsibilities under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), and provide an update on recent changes affecting voter registration services.

Presenters:

  • Alande Orelien, NVRA Coordinator, Office of Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose
  • Jay Smith, Director of Government and Legal Services, OLC

If you are unable to attend the live presentation, a recording will be made available to all registrants.

Registration is free for OLC Individual Members and staff of OLC Institutional Member Libraries.
