Overview: Ohio Goes to the Movies™ (OGTTM) is a first of its kind statewide celebration of Ohio-centric movies showcasing Ohio’s contributions to America’s film industry. A signature event of America 250-Ohio that will run about 250 days next year from February to October 2026, it will spotlight Ohioans in front of, and behind the camera, as well as Ohio locations and topics.
How can Ohio libraries get involved? Host a movie!
Planning is underway to secure movie venues/hosts in each of Ohio’s 88 counties and venues including historic theaters, drive-ins, cinemas, auditoriums, and libraries. According to OGTTM Program Director Molly Kreuzman, there are still about 20 counties not signed up.
“We’d like to encourage libraries, especially in the counties without venues, to consider serving as hosts. In some cases, we may be able to provide a stipend,” Kreuzman said.
This webinar will provide an overview of the program and more information on how to get involved with this signature event.
