Outreach Librarian

The Delaware County District Library is hiring a full-time Outreach Librarian.  This position focuses on providing programming and reference services to library patrons, matching their information/entertainment needs to available resources.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

• Developing and evaluating programming needs and services;
• Providing direct services to patrons (daycares, senior care facilities, area schools, and home delivery patrons);
• Maintaining the collection;
• Driving Outreach Department vehicles; and
• Serving as the customer relations contact and community outreach representative.

An ALA-accredited MLS or MLIS degree is required; previous library experience is preferred.  The work schedule is Monday - Friday; however, the schedule may change as the needs of the Library and Department change.  The salary range for this exempt position is $51,048 to $76,572, depending on qualifications.
