Technology Associate
The Technology Associate provides technical support to the Digital Services Department to implement, organize, and sustain the library's electronic environment; assists customers in the Creation Spaces; support services in the Tech Hub; and helps with technology training on an individual basis for library staff and customers in our busy inner-ring suburban library. Responsibilities include:
- Responding to help desk tickets and logging computer problems
- Monitoring day-to-day operations of library equipment and systems
- Assisting customers in using library equipment, software, databases, and electronic library materials, including in the Creation Spaces
- Assisting customers by doing basic troubleshooting of hardware and software on library equipment
- Providing training to the public and staff on new technology and services
Job Qualifications:
- Associate degree or 2 years of college
- A minimum of one (1) year experience providing technical support for problems with hardware and software and responding to service requests in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with
- computer image deployment process - building, gathering, and deploying images
- installation and configuration of computer hardware and software
- internet and social media applications, electronic resources, and other web-related technologies
